Founded in 1982, Travel Network Vacation Central is a host agency and technology company that provides a customized online virtual travel agency website. The technology links web customers, in real-time, to make reservations with hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and others which are generally difficult to find and book. It also maintains for the travel agent, an agent only super site portal that enables all travel agents and consortiums to book travel in real time. In addition, Vacation Central operates a franchise chain of travel agencies under three brands, which include Travel Network, Global Travel Network, and Travel Network Vacation Central (located inside Wal-Mart SuperCenters).
